The Bal Surakshya Khata is a specialized savings account designed to support social welfare programs initiated by local governments for underprivileged children and girl child education. This account facilitates the direct deposit of financial grants from municipalities and ensures secure, transparent fund management in the name of eligible minors.

Eligibility

Beneficiary Customers: Nepali minors and Children identified by local municipalities for welfare or educational grant programs

Documentation

To open a Bal Surakshya Khata, please provide:

·         Birth Certificate or Citizenship Certificate (if applicable)

·         Two recent passport-sized photographs

·         Official request letter from the concerned municipality recommending account opening

·         Any other documents as required by the Bank

Features

·         Minimum Balance: NPR 0 (Zero)

·         Free SMS Alerts for all transactions

·         No Cheque Book issued before the payment date set by the municipality

·         Electronic Banking Tools (e.g., Visa Card, Mobile or Internet Banking) are not issued

·         Account Closure is not permitted without written approval from the concerned municipality

·         Account can only be credited with grants deposited by the respective municipality
