Tanka Prasad Panday is a senior Nepalese government official currently serving as Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, Government of Nepal. With more than 25 years of experience in public administration, taxation, customs, revenue investigation, anti-money laundering, and financial governance, he has held several key leadership positions, including Deputy Director General of the Department of Customs, Department of Inland Revenue, and Department of Revenue Investigation, as well as Province Secretary of Gandaki Province. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), a Master’s Degree in Rural Development, and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Tribhuvan University. In addition to his administrative roles, he has served as a Government Representative on the Boards of Directors of several prominent public and financial institutions like Grameen Bikas Laghubitta Bittaya Sanstha Ltd., Nepal Health Care Co-operative Ltd., Industrial Enterprise Development Institute (IEDI) , Nepal Purbadhar Nirman Company Limited  and Nepal Durshanchar Company(Nepal Telecom). His career reflects extensive expertise in public finance, revenue administration, institutional governance, and policy implementation.
