
Mr. Dahal is a seasoned banking executive with over 24 years of progressive experience at Agricultural Development Bank Limited, Nepal. He is currently serving as a Deputy General Manager, overseeing the Credit Business Department as well as spearheading business operations across the Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces. Throughout his distinguished career, he has held multiple high-impact leadership roles, including Head of Department positions in Treasury and Correspondent Banking, Credit Business, Trade Finance and Branch Operations. He has been instrumental in formulating key financial policies, managing high-value loan portfolios, and supervising critical functions related to foreign exchange, asset-liability management and risk mitigation. In addition to his head office roles, he has acquired substantial field-level expertise during his tenure as Provincial Director and Branch Manager, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of both strategic management and grassroots banking operations. Mr. Dahal holds a Master’s degree (M.Sc. Ag.) in Agricultural Economics with Distinction from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He has earned several national and international accolades, including merit scholarships and a thesis grant from the Global Future Institute, USA. His areas of technical specialization include credit risk management, trade finance, treasury and liquidity management, research and development, branch operations, ALM and correspondent banking. He is also an advisory committee member of the Nepal Opportunity Fund I, a venture capital fund managed by Adhyanta Fund Management Ltd. and serves on the Credit Core Committee of the Nepal Bankers’ Association. He is a published researcher and active contributor to development-oriented initiatives.
